Are you still open during the COVID-19 pandemic?

Yes, our Star Vision showrooms are open during the COVID-19 pandemic. This can change, so we recommend that you call the local showroom near you to confirm opening times and stock levels. Please find our trading hours on the Showroom page.

Regarding the pandemic, we have put in safety measures to help protect customers and staff (with hand sanitizer stations, regularly spraying down surfaces, and maintaining proper social distancing practices). At camper handovers, we are wiping down the campers with anti-bacterial solution prior to handover.

We are closely monitoring the COVID-19 situation, if and when the situation changes we will update everyone through our Facebook page, our website and our email newsletter.

Where are your campers manufactured?

All our campers are manufactured in our overseas facilities. The camper trailers are then assembled in our Melbourne workshop and go through a full pre-delivery check.

The hybrid and off-road caravans are virtually complete when they arrive at our showrooms. However, there is some minor assembly required such as the front boxes that hold the gas bottles and Jerry cans and things like awnings, spare wheels etc.

All of these units go on our hoists here in Australia and the wheels are removed with bearings, brakes etc being checked and a wheel alignment completed.

Is my vehicle capable of towing a camper/caravan?

A range of vehicles can tow our camper trailers and caravans. However, it is always recommended that you check the owners manual for specific details regarding the vehicle's particular tow ball capacity, TARE weight and Aggregate Trailer Mass (ATM).

The difference between ATM and the TARE weight will be your payload i.e., how much weight you can add to your camper. You will need to keep in mind that having your water tank/s filled, gas bottles loaded, Jerry cans of fuel or extra water and a fridge will take up some of this payload.

The most accurate way to ensure you are not exceeding your ATM is to take your trailer to your nearest public weighbridge and get it weighed. You should be able to find your nearest weighbridge through a Google search.

Are your campers designed for full off-road use?

Yes, all our campers are designed for full off-road use. Our campers can pretty much go anywhere your 4WD can, on beaches or rugged off-road tracks.

They come standard with trailing arm independent suspension, twin shock absorbers and coil springs. We use McHitch universal drop-on couplings on all our models. These come supplied by us with the mating tapered tow-pin that has a screw thread at the top to lock it down and a hitch pin to provide a further level of security. We fit this tapered tow-pin to your vehicle at camper pickup. There is no need to take your existing tow ball off as we will do that as well.

Do you offer finance?

Yes, Star Vision does offer finance. You can fill out a basic website form here: https://starvision.com.au/finance/ or call 1300 783 318 and select the finance option.

We use a broker who will gather some basic information to best match your circumstances with the appropriate lender. This service is free of obligation and does not affect your credit score.

Terms & Conditions

Warranty

Please read the following information. When you buy a camper from Star Vision Campers & Caravans, you agree to these terms and conditions.

We provide a 5-year structural warranty covers the draw bar and chassis only and 1-year parts warranty applies for any mechanical issues, tool box/storage box, suspension, shocks & springs, coils, batteries, wiring, battery charger and inverters. (canvas, awnings, poles, zips, tyres, wheels, brake pads, clips, wear and tear and any other wearable parts are not included as part of warranty.) The 5-year structural & 1-year parts warranties apply to all campers and caravans models manufactured from 2017 and onwards. All warranties begin from the date of customer pick up.

  • Warranty is voided if any customisation, modifications, unauthorized and incorrect assembly, accidents, collision and abuse, towards the existing camper trailer and caravan.
  • Warranty is only to valid to the original purchaser and may not be transferred to another party.
  • Warranties are voided if the camper trailer or caravan is purchased for the use of rental, loan and commercial use.
  • Warranties only apply to items sold as “NEW” items sold via auctions, third parties are not covered in any warranties as per Australian laws and regulations.
  • Only Star Vision Pty Ltd have the authority to accept warranty claims. Suppliers, Reseller, associates, representative not affiliated with the company can not approve any warranty claims on behalf of Star Vision without the knowledge or written permission from Star Vision Campers and Caravans.
  • Any warranty claims MUST be returned to our nearest dealership or reseller for inspection before proceeding. Unless authorised by head office in Melbourne.
  • If VIN/serial number has been removed or altered warranty claims will be voided.
  • Once the camper trailer or caravan is dispatched from the showroom the customer is aware that their warranty will commence.
  • The camper trailer is not dust proof, so any dust damage is not covered under warranty.
  • All warranty claims must have an invoice number and the correct information of the buyer any incorrect information may cause to rejection of your claim.
  • Towing, transport, accommodation and any other recovery cost from warranty claims is the responsibility of the purchaser unless otherwise stated in handwriting or by email from Star Vision’s management team at head office.
  • With warranties or repairs, parts may take up to one month before receiving.
  • Star Vision provides service maintenance schedule for a fee of $100 per service.
Returns

Please read the following information. When you buy a camper from Star Vision Campers & Caravans, you agree to these terms and conditions.

  • Returns can only be done if the item is significantly different as described or not functionable and which cannot be fixed by our workmanship.
  • Any customization or personalised modifications applied to the camper trailer or caravan will void any return policy.
  • All deposit is non-refundable due to workmanship and cost incurred by your order.
  • A deposit is only refundable subject to finance unapproved.
  • You are entitled to a repair, replacement or refund for major failure, but the trailer must be fully inspected by Star Vision’s qualified mechanic.

Online Orders

Please read the following information. When you buy a camper from Star Vision Campers & Caravans, you agree to these terms and conditions.

  • We encourage you to order online and want to make that process as easy as possible. When orders are placed online this assists us to better plan our factory production schedule which also means that we minimise delays to our customers. It is not always possible to have enough stock on hand to meet demand and so placing orders ensures that we can supply your order in a timely manner.
  • We realise that ordering a camper online that may not be in stock for you to see, could be a bit off-putting, but we want to assure you that your holding deposit is fully refundable should you change your mind.
  • When you order online, a holding deposit is required to secure your new Star Vision camper trailer. This deposit is fully refundable (if you change your mind on a camper that you have seen in our showroom) leading up to 14 days before scheduled pick up or delivery. After this time, the deposit will be forfeited.
    If you have not seen the camper due to living remotely and not able to visit one of our showrooms or we do not have stock on hand, then your deposit is fully refundable after you have had an opportunity to inspect the camper.
  • Once your deposit has been paid we will contact you within 24 hours to discuss the camper in further detail, and any options you may require. When we have this information we will then send you an invoice with a scheduled date for pick up or delivery. Please note that this date may change due to unforeseen circumstances by either customer or Star Vision.
  • You can also place a deposit for your camper while at the same time applying for finance. We will note on the invoice that the balance is “subject to finance.”
  • If you cannot get to one of our showrooms or trade shows and you would still like to place an order, then we will discuss delivery options and costs with you.
  • Leading up to you taking ownership of your camper, you can continue to discuss further details about the camper and modify your order. You can even change to a different model. We do request that this be done 14 days prior to the scheduled pick up or delivery or as per mutually agreed with the Star Vision staff.
  • For some models we may not have stock. A deposit will allow us to place an order against the factory and inform you of the expected delivery time. We will make every effort to get your camper trailer to you as soon as possible and if for any unforeseen reason the delivery time extends beyond your expectation, then a full refund will be provided.
  • On the day of handover we will take around 30mins with you, providing a full demonstration of its operation and will then hitch it to your vehicle. There is no need to take your existing tow ball off your vehicle as we will do this for you.
  • For those customers who are having their camper delivered, then we will inform you leading up to dispatch of when and where the delivery point will be.
  • Any online special offers can be combined with other offers made at the showrooms, trade shows, over the phone or email.
  • All prices displayed are in Australian Dollars.

Star Vision is committed to providing quality services to you and this policy outlines our ongoing obligations to you in respect of how we manage your Personal Information.

What is Personal Information and why do we collect it?

This Personal Information is obtained in many ways including interviews, correspondence, by telephone and facsimile, by email, via our website www.starvision.com.au, from media and publications, from other publicly available sources, from cookies, and from third parties. We don’t guarantee website links or policies of authorised third parties.

We collect your Personal Information for the primary purpose of providing our services to you, providing information to our clients and marketing. We may also use your Personal Information for secondary purposes closely related to the primary purpose, in circumstances where you would reasonably expect such use or disclosure. You may unsubscribe from our mailing/marketing lists at any time by contacting us in writing.

When we collect Personal Information we will, where appropriate and where possible, explain to you why we are collecting the information and how we plan to use it.

Sensitive Information

Sensitive information is defined in the Privacy Act to include information or opinion about such things as an individual’s racial or ethnic origin, political opinions, membership of a political association, religious or philosophical beliefs, membership of a trade union or other professional body, criminal record or health information.

Where reasonable and practicable to do so, we will collect your Personal Information only from you. However, in some circumstances, we may be provided with information by third parties. In such a case we will take reasonable steps to ensure that you are made aware of the information provided to us by the third party.

Your Personal Information may be disclosed in a number of circumstances including the following:

Security of Personal Information

Your Personal Information is stored in a manner that reasonably protects it from misuse and loss and from unauthorized access, modification or disclosure.

When your Personal Information is no longer needed for the purpose for which it was obtained, we will take reasonable steps to destroy or permanently de-identify your Personal Information. However, most of the Personal Information is or will be stored in client files which will be kept by us for a minimum of 7 years.

You may access the Personal Information we hold about you and to update and/or correct it, subject to certain exceptions. If you wish to access your Personal Information, please contact us in writing.

Star Vision will not charge any fee for your access request but may charge an administrative fee for providing a copy of your Personal Information.

In order to protect your Personal Information, we may require identification from you before releasing the requested information.

It is important to us that your Personal Information is up to date. We will take reasonable steps to make sure that your Personal Information is accurate, complete and up-to-date.
