1. BIG4 DENILIQUIN HOLIDAY PARK, NSW

The BIG4 Deniliquin Holiday Park has received Hall of Fame status for winning the Australian Tourism Awards three years in a row in the Caravan and Holiday category.

Set in the Reverina regions, on the banks of Edward River, the BIG4 Deniliquin Holiday Park features a water splash park with a giant water bucket and a heated waterslide, a pool, watersports, minigolf, luxury accommodation (three-bedroom resort villas), and ensuite and powered caravan and camping locations. The park also accepts small dogs in select sites on application. However, this is during the off-season time (between 1st of May and 1st of October).

2. RAC CERVANTES HOLIDAY PARK, WA

The best in the west

Situated near the Nambing National Park, the RAC Cervantes Holiday Park won silver in Australian Tourism Awards, 2017. With unpowered and powered sites, new three and two-bedroom poolside villas, a pool, nature playground, activity area for kids, and a cafe, this park is the perfect choice for families. Dogs are allowed in some site areas with prior approval and a bond.

3. BIG4 ADVENTURE WHITSUNDAY RESORT, QUEENSLAND

The best in crowd-pleasing

Located at Airlie Beach, the BIG4 Adventure Whitsunday Resort is built for the crowds. With a lagoon-style pool, mega waterslide park, a couple of jumping pillows, and a kids’ club, you will not experience a single moment of boredom. The park has accommodation ranging from powered sites to 3 bedroom condos that please all families. While dogs are not allowed here, you can find plenty of green tree frogs. There is also an animal park with lambs, sheep and calves.

4. MARENGO HOLIDAY PARK, VICTORIA

Best in Ocean views

Marengo Holiday Park is a low-key holiday park but has some of the most fantastic ocean views. Situated at a handy location- just off Great Ocean Road, along the 100-kilometre Great Ocean Walk. It mostly features unpowered sites with a few powered cabins and camp sites. And almost all of them have incredible ocean views. Other facilities include an outdoor barbecue area, playground, laundry block and an enclosed camp kitchen.

Dogs are allowed in all cabins and campsites as long as they are kept on a lead, cleaned up after and never left unattended.

5. SEA VU CARAVAN PARK, SA

Best Beach Frontage

Situated about 336 kilometres south of Adelaide, in Robe, the Sea Vu Caravan Park offers spectacular views of the Guichan Bay. The park has ocean-view cabins and powered sites that can house between 2 to 6 people. You can find facilities like paddleboards, a fenced playground, and a camp kitchen. Pets are permitted during non-peak times but they should be kept away from common areas.

6. RED BLUFF, WA

Best for the coast seekers

On rugged and remote Quobba station, Red Bluff is a working pastoral station that extends for about 80 kilometres along the Coral Coast of WA. It has unpowered caravan and camping sites, palm frond shacks, and safari tents (ensuite). It has basic facilities such as BYO water for shacks and campsites, and drop pit toilets.

The Red Bluff park should be visited for its extraordinary views of the “Barrel” (a popular surf spot) and the Indian ocean. Your pet can also join you as dogs are permitted (with a bond) in a few areas.

This is an ideal park to enjoy with your furry friends. While some parks do allow dogs and other pets, it is usually under a lot of conditions and restrictions.
